Not what it seems

It is easy to look at images online and criticise. I do it all the time, if they had just moved to the left a bit or turned the subject to the light - there always seems to be something. The reality is that there is rarely time or the opportunity to make things perfect. Weddings, commercial assignments or press work - often you have very little control
I love this image, it was taken on a busy, school holiday, hot day in Margate. It may look like a film set but the reality was very different. Camera left there was a family taking there holiday snaps oblivious to us. Behind our model is a road with endless traffic looking for a free parking space plus a constant stream of pedestrians.
This was a moment in time a split second where there was nothing in frame except what I wanted. Could I make it better - of course but in a moment probably not.
